Privacy policy
Effective 6 October 2026. Tusolite is operated by Clinton Skakun.
Tusolite is a reader. It carries no advertising, no third-party analytics and no tracking scripts, and it does not sell or share your information.
What we store
- Your email address, so you can sign in and recover your account.
- A hash of your password (Argon2). The password itself is never stored.
- The sites you follow and the priority you gave each one.
- Posts fetched from those sites: title, link, author, date and body text.
- Quotes you save, with your notes and collection names.
- A site icon for each source, downloaded once and stored by us.
There is no record of which posts you opened or how long you spent on them. The app has no unread state, so there is nothing of that kind to keep.
Cookies
Two, both strictly functional, neither used for tracking:
- Session — keeps you signed in. HttpOnly, SameSite=Lax, and marked Secure when served over HTTPS.
- Theme — remembers whether you chose light or dark.
Who else sees anything
Our server fetches feeds, not your browser, so the sites you follow do not
see your address or learn when you read them. Images inside a post are the
exception: they load from the publisher when you open the post, so that
publisher sees your IP address. We send referrerpolicy=no-referrer
with every one, drop 1x1 tracking pixels before rendering, and serve site
icons from our own servers rather than linking to theirs.
If you sign in with Google, Google tells us your email address and an account identifier. Nothing else is shared with them.
Deleting your data
Delete your account from the account menu. That removes your account, the sites you follow, the posts stored for them and every quote you saved. It is immediate and cannot be undone. Copies held in backups are kept for up to 7 days, until backup rotation removes them.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will say so on this page before the change takes effect.
